From our "No College Degree Required to work at home" series, photography is a great way to express how you view the world and also make some cash. It is also a wonderful way to start a photography portfolio of your own if you would like to get into professional photography. There are many web sites out there that will pay you for each photo you upload to them or based upon the price a customer has paid them or even how many people have just viewed your photos.
Have you ever seen a bug crawling across your window and wished you had your camera on you? Are you the designated photographer for any events you go to? Do you stay up all night just to capture the perfect sunrise over the horizon? If so, this may be the perfect work at home opportunity for you.

The Woman's Garden editor, Laurianna, applied to become a stock photo affiliate in February, 2009. A photo affiliate uploads pictures to a site, and if customers of that site purchase the photo, the affiliate gets a portion of the proceeds.
Upon filling out a very short and easy application, Laurianna uploaded photos of the specified size and pixels that were clear and interesting. The photos were of varied topics, a bird in water about to take flight, a snake in the sand on an island, a fence that blew over in a tornado, and two other photos.
The application was denied. Not because of the quality of the photos, but because of the topic. Apparently, it is very important to know exactly what topic each site is looking for. If you can not find that, sort their photos by "most popular" to see what their customers download the most. These are the topics in highest demand, which means more money for the affiliate, and likely an application that will be approved. The note of denial did say Laurianna could reapply in one month. It was a pleasant and professional experience.
