Talk to Your Doctor

Heart healthy

  1. If you don't move around a lot, find activity with what you do every day. Exercise is always best, but just walking the dogs can help your cardiovascular system.
  2. Eat right. We all know this, but do it! Watch the fatty foods and cholesterol and start eating those fruits and veggies.
  3. Watch your stress levels. This is life, live it. Don't waste precious energy on the negative.

Liver healthy

  1. Don't mix medicines without consulting your doctor.
  2. Never mix alcohol and drugs.
  3. Watch your alcohol intake.
  4. Eat right.
  5. Watch the fatty foods and salt. Start eating those fruits and veggies.

Skin healthy

  1. Avoid sun exposure, wind, and other damaging elements.
  2. Don't smoke.
  3. Avoid alcohol.
  4. Eat right.
  5. Avoid caffeine.
  6. Drink 6-8 glasses of water per day.
  7. Consider using an alternative to soap.

Stomach healthy

  1. Avoid alcohol.
  2. Eat right.
  3. Drink plenty of water.
  4. Eat smaller meals more often through the day.
  5. Avoid caffeine.

Kidney healthy

  1. Eat right.
  2. Watch body weight.
  3. Drink plenty of water, especially when playing sports, when out in the sun, and when it is hot.
  4. Use caution when taking pain relievers and fever reducers.
  5. Use seat belts properly when in a vehicle. The most common cause of kidney injury is due to accidents in automobiles, bicycles, and falls.
